As we wrap up 2024, I want to take a moment to say how much I appreciate you. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or joined more recently, your support, thoughtful comments, and insightful questions have been a constant source of inspiration for me. As a way to thank you, I’m inviting you to a special end-of-year Zoom session called the Great Journal Jam—a gift for free and paid subscribers to help you reflect on the year behind us and envision what’s possible in 2025.

Me about 10 years old with my brother and sister on Christmas morning

Why Journal?

Journaling is one of the simplest yet most effective tools for self-discovery and growth. It creates space to clarify our thoughts, uncover insights, and connect with what matters most. Studies show that reflective practices like journaling can reduce stress, enhance creativity, and help us take actionable steps toward our goals. For anyone looking to align their career potential with their personal aspirations, it’s an invaluable habit.

If you like what you’re reading, please subscribe or share. It will help me reach my moonshot of 5000 subscribers.

The Great Journal Jam

So what can you expect with the Great Journal Jam? Well first off we'll be meeting over zoom so no matter where you are in the world, you can join. We'll start off with a guided meditation to ground and center you. Then I will lead you through timed journal prompts to help you process the wins, challenges, and lessons of 2024. There will be inspiring poems to offer perspective and then prompts to create a vision for 2025.

This is your chance to pause and recharge—a way to honor the journey you’ve been on while setting a purposeful path for what’s next. And you’ll be in great company, surrounded by others who are ready to step into the new year with clarity and intention.

📅 Date: The Great Journal Jam will take place on Friday, December 13. There are two times available: 10 am or 1 pm PST.

RSVP here and a zoom link will be provided.

Bring a favorite notebook, a cup of tea, or whatever helps you feel at ease. This is my way of saying thank you for being here—and I can’t wait to spend this reflective, meaningful time with you.

My blog aims to help people achieve their ambitious goals, their moonshot if you will. 😃 Oftentimes, though, we neglect an essential aspect of pursuing our dreams: the inevitable missteps, obstacles, and failures that come our way. Failing to acknowledge and process these losses properly can lead to imposter syndrome, burnout, low self-esteem, confusion, and even result in completely abandoning our dreams. 😟  That's why I strongly advocate for embracing grief awareness (along with other tools like values identification, knowing your why, sharpening executive function, habit forming, and more.) By doing so, we can effectively navigate challenges, regain motivation, and hit our moonshots. ✌🏾️ If you know someone who could benefit, please share this newsletter or recommend me to them. 🙏
