Launching Soon: New Groups for Film Producers Longing for Community

1

Being a film and television producer is a test of grit—a role that demands resilience, adaptability, and an endless well of patience.

As someone who’s spent years in both leadership coaching and as a film and television producer, I know firsthand that producers carry a unique set of challenges. You’re balancing a strategic vision, piecing together financing, and building a committed team—all while managing logistics, schedules, and budgets, often with limited resources and without a safety net. It’s a role that demands calm and resourcefulness, all while holding space for others to thrive.

Before I go any further, I want to acknowledge this post is a bit outside my usual blogging topics, where I help readers overcome setbacks and connect with their core strengths to achieve long-term success. But my work naturally extends into supporting producers and artists, who often face these demands without open, honest connection—a network where they can share both struggles and successes without the usual filters. The entertainment industry celebrates collaboration, yet producers frequently end up navigating their toughest challenges alone. I’ve been there, and I can tell you, it’s easy to feel like you’re navigating in the dark without a compass.

And as much as the entertainment industry celebrates collaboration, it can also feel like an exclusive club with high barriers to entry and little transparency. Where can you turn to understand the distinctions between a shopping agreement and a rights deal, handling agents, timing talent attachments, or the real role of a sales agent? There are so many other questions, and with the entertainment industry in contraction, finding solid answers can feel overwhelming.

Too often, producers end up navigating this path without a roadmap or a support system they can rely on. That’s what makes a real community so valuable—a space where everyone has knowledge to share, and where diverse perspectives fuel learning and growth.

This is the heart of the Moonshot Mentor Mastermind Producer Group and the Moonshot Mentor Hybrid Producer Group — a place to lift each other up, stay grounded, and grow. Both of these groups will be starting up in January, and in these communities, the walls come down. It’s a place where everyone, regardless of their experience level, contributes insights and hard-earned lessons that benefit the whole group. Here, there’s a collective understanding that none of us has all the answers, but together, we can piece together a clearer path forward.

If this resonates, I invite you to learn more about these two communities built specifically for producers and multi-hyphenate creators who are ready for real, honest connection and professional growth. Both groups are application-based to ensure a committed, like-minded circle. If you’re interested, you can learn more about the Mastermind here and the Moonshot Hybrid Producer Group here.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be diving deeper into the unique challenges producers face and sharing why having a community makes all the difference. But if you’re ready to take that step now, I encourage you to check out the links and see if one of these groups could be the right fit. ❤️

My blog aims to help people achieve their ambitious goals, their moonshot if you will. 😃 Oftentimes, though, we neglect an essential aspect of pursuing our dreams: the inevitable missteps, obstacles, and failures that come our way. Failing to acknowledge and process these losses properly can lead to imposter syndrome, burnout, low self-esteem, confusion, and even result in completely abandoning our dreams. 😟  That's why I strongly advocate for embracing grief awareness (along with other tools like values identification, knowing your why, sharpening executive function, habit forming, and more.) By doing so, we can effectively navigate challenges, regain motivation, and hit our moonshots. ✌🏾️ If you know someone who could benefit, please share this newsletter or recommend me to them. 🙏
