Hi friend.
Welcome back to Solid Ground. I’m grateful you’re here. Let’s keep going.
In the last module, you identified your gremlin. Some of you identified more than one. A few favorite gremlin names that I’ve heard from the community: Bozo, Spiny Norman, Fashionista. Giving the gremlin a name starts to take some of its power away.
In this module, you’re going to learn how to interrupt the gremlin so it doesn’t run the show.
You may notice that the lesson and the worksheet are more closely linked this time.
That’s intentional.
There are a few steps to this process, and it can be helpful to hear it first, then move through it yourself. This is one of those practices that tends to click more easily when you’re guided through it and then try it on your own.
It’s also a practice. Some people feel a big shift immediately, others take a few rounds. We all move at our own pace. But like anything new, it gets easier and more natural the more you do it.
I’ll also say this from my own experience: it helped me a lot to have someone walk me through it out loud before doing it on my own. So if it feels a little unfamiliar at first, you’re not doing it wrong. You’re learning something new.
